There are worse places to be….

….for training and team building sessions than Colorado in September. In this southern part of the state, the valleys are bathed in green, rising up to mountains of thick pine and aspens. Cold mornings yield to day after day of sunny hot weather that runs off again when evening comes.

Last night as my colleagues returned from dinner, we spotted a huge black bear (like the one pictured below). He lumbered up the gravel road in front of our car, his thick black coat rippling with every loping stride. He was an awesome sight.

The sunny days, wildlife, mountains and the laid-back attitude of local residents, feed daydreams of relocating here. The winters are another story!
