The Naked Farmer

This weekend the kids attended a birthday party held at a home that’s a working dairy farm.

Every child under age 10 drifted over to the cows, and oogled the chickens and bunny hutch. But eventually they succumbed to the party attractions: the moon bounce & water slide, games, cake and popsicles. They spread their towels on the lawn, ran screaming through the sprinkler and cued up for the water slide.

Only Brynn lingered by the barns, undeterred by manure and puddles of cow pee. She sized up the newborn calves, the youngsters sharing a manger, and the big milk producers parked in a shed under fans.

She looked every bit like a little farmer, checking her stock. Even bearing a farmer’s tan.

Now, all she needs are clothes.
