Toys may wear out or break. They may be cast aside or relegated to the “outgrown” box.

The craters in our drive, however, never lose their allure.

There’s no age limit on a rain-fed pothole.

Over time our water elements have evolved from potholes — in the traditional sense — into a series of great lakes that span the driveway’s girth. And after a soaking rain, everyone wants in on the action.

It’s a free pass to throw rocks. And mine the bushes for seaworthy leaves and twigs.


Present day


It is the cheapest entertainment around.

The price? One bar of soap.
